Dr. Rajan Suri is founder of the Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) Center. He is a Harvard PhD, professor emeritus of Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an internationally-recognized expert in production systems analysis. He has written more than 100 publications including the books

The QRM Center in the USA
In 1993, Dr. Suri established the QRM Center as a consortium of companies in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He directed the center from its foundation until 2008 when he assumed an advisory role.
The center in collaboration with its partners aims to further develop and implement the QRM strategy. Since its inception the QRM Center has successfully worked with more than 200 companies.
As a QRM expert, Prof. Suri has consulted for leading manufacturing companies like 3M, AT & T, Ford, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, IBM, Ingersoll, John Deere, National Oilwell Varco, P & H Mining Equipment, Pratt & Whitney, and Siemens and Trek Bicycle. He has also done projects for the World Bank, and his work has taken him to both Europe and the Far East.
Dr. Suri has received numerous awards for his work. These include the Eckman Award of the American Automatic Control Council and the LEAD Award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. In 2006, he was awarded the SME’s Albert M. Sargent Progress Award for developing and implementing the QRM philosophy, and in 2010, he was admitted to the Manufacturing Industry Week 2010 Hall of Fame class.
